Roles & Responsibilities
The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and coordinating renovation and fit-out works at project sites. The role ensures that all construction activities are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily site activities for renovation, refurbishment, and interior fit-out projects.
Coordinate with project managers, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Review drawings, specifications, and BOQs before execution.
Ensure work is carried out according to approved plans, quality standards, and project timelines.
Monitor labor productivity and allocate manpower effectively.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Identify site issues and propose practical technical solutions.
Coordinate material deliveries and verify that materials meet project specifications.
Inspect completed work and prepare snag lists for corrective actions.
Attend site meetings with clients and consultants.
Maintain site documentation, including inspection requests, work permits, and material approvals.
Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions throughout the project.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in renovation, refurbishment, or interior fit-out projects.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building regulations.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
Strong understanding of quality control and site safety procedures.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
Preferred Skills
Experience in residential, commercial renovation projects.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong coordination and leadership skills.
Familiarity with local authority regulations and approval procedures.
Valid driving license (compulsory).
