Roles & Responsibilities
Site Engineer – Electrical (33kV & 132kV Cabling)
Experience: Minimum 5 years in HV cable installation, testing & commissioning, preferably SEWA/DEWA/TAQA certified
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and execute laying, jointing, and termination of 33kV/132kV HV cables as per SEWA/DEWA/TAQA standards
Coordinate cable route surveys, trenching, ducting, and pulling activities on site
Oversee HV cable testing (IR, VLF, sheath, partial discharge) and prepare test documentation for utility approval
Liaise with SEWA/DEWA/TAQA for permits, inspections, and NOCs
Prepare method statements, RAMS, ITPs, as-built drawings, and cable schedules
Enforce PTW, LOTO, and HV safety procedures on site
Supervise technicians, jointers, and subcontractors; report daily progress to Project Manager
Conduct QA/QC checks at each installation stage
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, ensuring a strong theoretical foundation.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical site engineering, demonstrating practical expertise.
Professional certifications such as PMP or NEBOSH, showcasing commitment to project management and safety.
Experience in large-scale construction projects, preferably in commercial or industrial sectors.
SEWA/DEWA/TAQA approved certification for HV works (preferred)
