Job Description – Architectural Draftsman

Position: Architectural Draftsman

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Architectural Draftsman to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of UAE experience in the construction industry, particularly in interior fit-out, décor, false ceiling, and partition installation projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed architectural drawings, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring that all drawings comply with project specifications and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural shop drawings, working drawings, and as-built drawings.

• Develop plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings based on project requirements.

• Interpret architectural and engineering designs accurately.

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy.

• Revise drawings based on client comments, consultant feedback, and site conditions.

• Ensure drawings comply with local regulations, project specifications, and company standards.

• Prepare material layouts and installation details for interior fit-out works.

• Maintain proper documentation and version control of all project drawings.

• Assist the project team with technical support throughout the execution phase.

• Conduct site visits when required to verify measurements and resolve drawing-related issues.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Drafting, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years of UAE experience as an Architectural Draftsman.

• Experience in construction, interior fit-out, décor, false ceiling, and partition installation projects is mandatory.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

• Good communication and coordination abilities.

• UAE driving license is preferred.

• Candidates must currently be available in the UAE.
