Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Design Architect role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Senior Design Architect will lead the design development, coordination, and management of BIM models across all project stages, ensuring accuracy and alignment with design intent and construction requirements. Daily responsibilities include preparing and reviewing architectural and construction drawings, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and managing submittals, revisions, and documentation. The role involves overseeing BIM standards and workflows, mentoring junior team members in BIM best practices, and collaborating with project stakeholders to resolve design and technical issues. The Senior Design Architect will also support project planning, quality control, and compliance with local codes and regulations. As much as emphasis is placed on knowledge of the BIM component required, preference will be given to the design and architectural capabilities of the applicant.
Qualifications Strong background in Architecture with proven experience leading design and technical delivery on complex projects. Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows, including model setup, coordination, and clash detection. Ability to produce and review detailed Architectural Drawings and Construction Drawings for all project stages. Experience preparing, reviewing, and managing Submittals and related project documentation. Master’s degree in Architecture. Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes in the United Arab Emirates or the wider region is preferable but not essential. Strong coordination skills and experience working with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors. Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are an advantage. Experience mentoring junior staff and contributing to the development of BIM and documentation standards is preferred.
