Job Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor with extensive joinery and project site experience. You will oversee post-installation maintenance, snagging, and defect rectification for high-end wood installations across various live construction and handover sites. This role ensures all custom joinery meets elite quality standards before and after project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Site Defect Management: Inspect project sites to identify, log, and resolve joinery snags, alignment issues, and finish defects.
Team Supervision: Lead and schedule a mobile team of maintenance carpenters, painters, and polishers across multiple active sites.
Corrective Maintenance: Supervise structural repairs, hardware replacements, and surface touch-ups for custom wardrobes, doors, kitchens, and wall panels.
Client Coordination: Meet with site consultants, project managers, and clients to sign off on completed maintenance handovers.
Material Procurement: Estimate and order required repair materials, matching veneers, specific hardware, and specialized wood coatings.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict site safety regulations and ensure teams wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience: Over 5 years supervising joinery installations or maintenance specifically on live fit-out project sites.
Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of wood types, joinery hardware, laminates, and professional wood polishing/painting techniques.
Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, section details, and architectural layout plans.
Communication: Strong verbal skills to manage site labor and update project management teams.
License: Valid driver's license is required to travel between various project locations.
