Roles & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex pump system failures, identifying root causes for critical operational equipment.
  • Perform precision repairs and overhauls on a wide variety of centrifugal, positive displacement, and other industrial pumps.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance, including lubrication, seal replacement, and performance testing to maximize uptime.
  • Interpret complex mechanical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer's manuals to guide repair and installation activities.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools, such as vibration analyzers and infrared cameras, to assess equipment health.
  • Install and commission new pump systems, ensuring proper alignment, sealing, and operational parameters are met.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repair, and diagnostic activities for asset management and reporting.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and environmental regulations during all maintenance and repair operations.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to recommend improvements for pump efficiency and reliability.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns, providing rapid and effective solutions to minimize production impact.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent vocational training in mechanical systems.
  • Possession of relevant certifications, such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Pump Technician or Industrial Mechanic.
  • Proven experience in oil & gas, manufacturing, water treatment, or a similar heavy industrial sector.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints, P&IDs, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Strong technical skills in pump mechanics, hydraulics, seals, bearings, and motor alignment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy components, work in confined spaces, and operate in demanding environmental conditions.
