Role Description The Chartering Manager/Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, responsible for managing the end-to-end chartering process for dry bulk vessels. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and securing suitable cargoes and vessels, negotiating charter party terms and freight rates, and maintaining strong relationships with shipowners, brokers, and cargo interests. The role involves monitoring market trends and commodity flows, optimizing vessel employment and voyage planning, and ensuring chartering activities comply with company policies and maritime regulations. The Chartering Manager/Executive also collaborates with operations and finance teams to support contract execution, performance monitoring, and post-fixture activities. Qualifications Strong understanding of Trading and Commodity Markets relevant to dry bulk shipping. Knowledge of Freight markets and charter party structures within the maritime sector. Experience in International Business, including cross-border negotiation and client relationship management. Familiarity with Maritime industry practices, regulations, and vessel operations. Proven experience in chartering or commercial shipping roles, preferably in dry bulk. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and numerical skills with attention to detail. Effective communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage. Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, make timely decisions, and collaborate in a multicultural team.
