The Role We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Cost Estimator / Site Coordinator to oversee project cost management, quantity surveying, and site coordination activities. This part-time remote opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who combines strong commercial awareness with technical and project coordination expertise. While the role is primarily remote for estimating, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration, occasional site coordination or virtual project reviews may be required depending on project needs. Key Responsibilities Prepare cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and budget forecasts for construction and engineering projects. Monitor project costs, resource utilization, and financial performance to support cost-effective project delivery. Coordinate project activities with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation to ensure accuracy and commercial compliance. Evaluate variations, quotations, and project costs while recommending value-driven solutions. Support procurement planning, contract administration, and project progress monitoring. Identify commercial and operational risks and recommend practical mitigation strategies. Prepare cost reports, project updates, and performance analyses for management. Provide leadership, guidance, and coordination while fostering collaboration across remote and cross-functional teams. Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred. Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, project coordination, or a related field is preferred. Strong understanding of construction cost management, quantity surveying principles, and project coordination. Knowledge of budgeting, contract administration, procurement, and cost control practices. Familiarity with engineering drawings, technical documentation, project reporting, and commercial analysis. Proficiency in preparing estimates, cost reports, and project performance evaluations. Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively in a fully remote and project-based environment. Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated leadership, planning, and project management capabilities.
