Position: Planning Engineer Location: Abu Dhabi, UAEAl Hikma Building Contracting L. L. C. is seeking to hire a qualified Planning Engineer to join our Projects Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, monitoring, updating, and controlling project schedules, while supporting the project team in achieving timely project delivery in accordance with contractual requirements. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. Minimum 5-10 years of experience as a Planning Engineer. Previous experience with a Main Construction Contractor is mandatory. Strong proficiency in Primavera P6. Good knowledge of project scheduling, progress monitoring, delay analysis, and project reporting. Good understanding of construction sequencing and planning methodologies. Ability to prepare baseline programmes, update schedules, and monitor project progress. Good communication and coordination skills. Willingness to work in Abu Dhabi, depending on project requirements. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain project baseline programmes using Primavera P6. Update project schedules and monitor actual progress against approved programmes. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports. Identify schedule variances and propose corrective actions. Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, and Commercial Departments regarding project progress. Assist in preparing recovery programmes whenever required. Monitor critical activities and highlight potential delays and associated risks. Support project planning, resource allocation, and progress measurement. Ensure planning activities comply with Company procedures and contractual requirements. Monitor shop drawings and procurement trackers.
