Job Details

  • Verify incoming material against MRQ, LPO, and purchase specifications/information.
  • Maintain traceability of accepted materials with unique identification numbers, documented in the material traceability sheet as per project requirements.
  • Ensure applicable WPS is available on the shop floor; coordinate with the production engineer/welding supervisor to conduct welder awareness training as required.
  • Carry out stage-wise inspections throughout fabrication processes, following ITP/QCP and signing off as applicable.
  • Organize and coordinate Destructive and Non-Destructive Testing.
  • Perform inspections of blasting and painting activities when required.
  • Assist QCE in preparing inspection and test packages and final documentation.
  • Support QCE/Welding Engineer in qualifying WPS, PQR, and WPQR; maintain relevant records.
  • Coordinate with customer representatives, third-party inspectors, and class surveyors for quality-related requirements.
  • Ensure work is carried out safely and effectively in compliance with HSE standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

Description: Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC within welding and fabrication projects, preferably in oil & gas or heavy fabrication industries. Strong knowledge of WPS, PQR, WPQR, and related inspection techniques.
Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Certification(s)/Training(s): CSWIP 3.1, AWS-CWI, or equivalent is preferred. NDT Level II in RT, UT, MT, and PT is desirable.
Computer Skill(s): Proficient in MS Office and familiar with inspection reporting software.
Equipment Knowledge: Welding inspection tools, NDT equipment, and coating inspection instruments
