Role Description The Compliance Analyst is a part-time, remote role responsible for supporting the lab’s adherence to applicable regulations, institutional policies, and funding requirements. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring compliance with research protocols, data governance standards, and financial guidelines for grants and projects. The role involves reviewing documentation, assisting with internal audits, preparing compliance reports, and maintaining accurate records. The Compliance Analyst will collaborate with project leads and administrative staff, clarify compliance requirements, and communicate findings and recommendations. This position also contributes to developing and updating compliance procedures that support ethical, transparent, and efficient lab operations. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Regulatory Compliance and Auditing skills to interpret guidelines, evaluate processes, and support internal reviews. Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Finance knowledge to assess risks, review budgets, and analyze compliance data. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to prepare clear reports, explain requirements, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Candidates should possess proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, documents, collaboration platforms) and strong organizational skills. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Public Administration, Finance, Business, Law, Urban Planning, or related discipline (or equivalent experience). Experience with research compliance, grant management, or university or public-sector processes is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
