Project Engineering & Execution

• Manage engineering and site execution activities for power infrastructure projects.

• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, method statements, and technical requirements.

• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.

• Monitor project progress, resources, milestones, and site readiness.

• Identify and resolve technical, quality, and execution issues.

• Support inspections, handover, as-built documentation, and snag closure.

Civil Engineering & Projects

• Supervise civil works for substations and power infrastructure.

• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and construction methodologies.

• Coordinate foundations, cable trenches, duct banks, buildings, roads, drainage, and structural works.

• Ensure execution complies with approved drawings, specifications, quality, and safety standards.

• Coordinate with surveyors, subcontractors, consultants, and electrical teams.

Civil & Electrical Design

• Review and coordinate civil and electrical designs for power projects.

• Review layouts, calculations, SLDs, cable schedules, earthing, protection, and auxiliary systems.

• Coordinate designs with civil, structural, MEP, SCADA, and telecom disciplines.

• Review vendor drawings and technical submittals.

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, IEC/IEEE, and utility requirements.

• Support design revisions, technical clarifications, and as-built documentation.

MEP Engineering

• Coordinate MEP works for substations and associated facilities.

• Review HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, ventilation, drainage, and auxiliary systems.

• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.

• Monitor installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.

Planning & Project Controls

• Develop and maintain project, engineering, procurement, and construction schedules.

• Monitor progress against baseline and key milestones.

• Prepare look-ahead schedules and identify critical activities and delays.

• Track manpower, productivity, materials, and resources.

• Prepare progress reports and support recovery planning and project controls.

HSE

• Ensure compliance with project, client, UAE, and utility HSE requirements.

• Conduct site inspections, audits, risk assessments, and safety reviews.

• Ensure implementation of HSE plans, method statements, and permit-to-work procedures.

• Investigate incidents and ensure closure of HSE observations.

• Promote safe working practices and environmental compliance.

QA/QC – Civil & Electrical

• Implement Quality Plans, ITPs, procedures, and inspection requirements.

• Review inspection requests, material approvals, and quality documentation.

• Monitor civil and electrical works for compliance with approved standards.

• Coordinate inspections with clients, consultants, and authorities.

• Manage NCRs, corrective actions, testing records, and project quality documentation.

Testing & Commissioning

• Plan and coordinate testing and commissioning of electrical and substation systems.

• Review testing procedures, commissioning plans, and schedules.

• Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, consultants, clients, and testing teams.

• Supervise testing of transformers, switchgear, GIS, protection, control, cables, and earthing systems.

• Ensure completion of test reports, commissioning records, snag closure, and handover.

Stakeholder & Team Management

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, clients, authorities, subcontractors, and vendors.

• Lead and mentor engineers, supervisors, technicians, and site teams.

• Conduct coordination meetings and monitor action items.

• Manage resources and provide regular project updates.

• Ensure timely resolution of technical and project-related issues.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, HSE, or related Engineering discipline, depending on the specialization.

  • Relevant professional certifications will be an advantage.

  • For HSE roles, NEBOSH IGC and relevant UAE/utility HSE approvals are preferred.

  • For specialized electrical roles, relevant utility approvals and substation experience are preferred.

  Experience

  • Typically 7–12+ years of relevant engineering experience, depending on specialization.

  • Strong experience in power transmission, substations, EHV/HV electrical infrastructure, EPC, or large-scale infrastructure projects.

  • Relevant UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.

  • Experience with DEWA, TRANSCO, or similar UAE utility projects will be an advantage.

  • Proven experience working with consultants, contractors, vendors, and utility authorities.

  • Candidates should demonstrate strong technical knowledge within their respective specialization.
