Role Description The Senior Program Manager – Bank only role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role is responsible for leading complex banking technology programs, overseeing end-to-end project delivery, and ensuring alignment with client objectives and regulatory requirements. The Senior Program Manager will manage cross-functional teams, coordinate stakeholders, define program scope and timelines, and monitor progress against milestones, budget, and quality standards. Day-to-day activities include driving program governance, mitigating risks and issues, facilitating communication between business and technical teams, and supporting change management and user adoption. The role also involves building strong relationships with banking clients, identifying opportunities for improvement, and contributing to strategic planning and continuous enhancement of Avanza’s digital banking solutions.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong program and project management skills, including portfolio oversight, governance, planning, and execution within banking or financial services environments. Candidates should possess expertise in digital banking solutions, core banking processes, payment systems, and regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to financial institutions. Candidates should possess skills in stakeholder management, client relationship building, negotiation, and effective communication with senior business and technical leaders. Candidates should possess abilities in requirements analysis, process mapping, risk assessment, and problem-solving to drive scalable and sustainable program outcomes. Candidates should possess experience in leading cross-functional teams, mentoring team members, and fostering collaboration across product, engineering, and operations. Candidates should possess familiarity with enterprise technology environments, integration projects, and modern digital platforms, ideally including AI, automation, and customer experience solutions. Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, finance, technology, or a related field; professional certifications like PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile are a strong advantage. Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale banking or financial technology programs, with the ability to work on-site in Dubai and adapt to a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
