Research and develop new HVAC and air-conditioning products, systems, and components.
Improve the performance, efficiency, reliability, and manufacturability of existing products.
Prepare and review engineering designs, technical specifications, drawings, and product documentation.
Conduct technical calculations and analysis related to airflow, cooling capacity, heat transfer, pressure drop, fan selection, coil performance, and system efficiency.
Support the design and development of AHU, FCU, ventilation systems, air handling equipment, and related HVAC products.
Select and evaluate HVAC components such as fans, coils, filters, dampers, motors, compressors, insulation, controls, and electrical components.
Develop prototypes and coordinate prototype manufacturing and testing.
Conduct product testing, performance validation, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.
Analyse test results and recommend design or process improvements.
Coordinate with Production and QA/QC during product trials and testing.
Work with suppliers to evaluate new components, materials, and technologies.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, energy efficiency, material optimization, and product improvement.
Ensure products comply with applicable HVAC standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications.
Prepare technical reports, test reports, product specifications, BOMs, and other R&D documentation.
Support the implementation of engineering changes and product modifications.
Investigate technical issues and provide effective engineering solutions.
Stay updated on new HVAC technologies, refrigerants, energy-efficiency solutions, controls, and industry developments.
Support technical teams during product installation, commissioning, and field performance evaluation when required.
Participate in continuous improvement and innovation projects.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering / HVAC Engineering / Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineering or a related field.
2–5 years of relevant R&D / Product Development experience in the HVAC or air-conditioning manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, air-conditioning equipment, and manufacturing processes.
Experience with product development, testing, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
Knowledge of HVAC components, materials, controls, and refrigeration principles.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant engineering/design software.
Good knowledge of MS Excel and technical reporting.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
