Apprentice Technician for UAE National
Job Objective:
The Apprentice Technician will support and perform maintenance activities on aircraft and aviation components under the direct supervision, while developing technical skills and competencies as part of AMMROC Al Ruwad Apprenticeship Program. This role includes assisting qualified technicians with maintenance tasks, within the scope of the trainee’s training program and plans.
Key Accountabilities:
Receive and understand task requirements as briefed by the Supervisor or assigned Technician. Obtain, read, and comprehend applicable Aircraft/Component technical data under guidance. Assist in conducting basic maintenance tasks on aircraft or components aligned with assigned training modules and authorization limitations. Participate in all scheduled classroom and on-the-job training activities as part of the Al Ruwad Program. Participate and comply with safety brief instructions before beginning any maintenance activity. Conduct Foreign Object Damage (FOD) checks before and after task completion. Ensure correct use and return of tools, equipment, PPE, consumables, and test equipment according to procedures. Support accurate maintenance documentation as directed by the Supervisor or Technician. Keep the Supervisor informed of progress, challenges, or potential delays. Comply all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management requirements. Support ERP IT system data entry and related maintenance reporting tasks, when assigned. Uphold AMMROC policies, procedures, and values at all times. Participate in orientation programs, assessments, and evaluations as required by the training curriculum. Perform any other duties or assignments as directed.
Qualifications:
Completed National Service Diploma, Higher Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Aircraft Maintenance, Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Engineering Technology (Aeromechanical), Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronic Engineering. Fresh graduate or with minimal experience outside the relevant engineering field Basic understanding of aircraft fundamentals is an advantage. No prior experience is required; training will be provided through Al Ruwad Program. Minimum IELTS 4.5 or equivalent.
Professional Skills:
Basic mechanical aptitude and strong willingness to learn. Ability to follow instructions, procedures and adhere to safety protocols. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. High level of discipline, attention to detail and accountability. Commitment to completing the apprenticeship program and professional development. Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written). Basic skills in planning, organizing, and problem-solving.
