Job Purpose


Provide administrative and operational support for the full lifecycle management of public bus drivers, encompassing recruitment coordination, training logistics, performance monitoring, welfare administration, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Ensure accurate record-keeping, timely processing of driver-related transactions, and seamless coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Contribute to maintaining service readiness and operational excellence within the Drivers Services Section


Roles and Responsibilities


Strategy


·Support the Drivers Services Department in achieving its strategic objectives by ensuring timely and accurate execution of driver lifecycle management activities, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and offboarding processes.


·Maintain alignment of all driver management administrative practices with PTA and RTA-wide policies, quality standards, and information-security requirements, contributing to organizational readiness for audits and compliance assessments.


·Track and report on key driver workforce indicators such as recruitment pipeline status, training completion rates, attendance compliance, and performance metrics to inform departmental planning and resource allocation.


Operations


·Coordinate recruitment activities for public bus drivers, including preparing job postings, scheduling interviews, managing communication with recruitment agencies, and processing offer letters and employment contracts in accordance with RTA and DGHR regulations.


·Manage driver onboarding and offboarding logistics, including migration services, visa processing, Emirates ID, health insurance enrolment, uniform issuance, salary setup, and end-of-service benefit calculations and clearances.


·Maintain and update comprehensive driver databases and records in approved systems (GRP, Tarasul, HRIS), ensuring data accuracy for attendance, leave, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and training histories.


·Process and track driver leave requests, professional fitness assessments, medical clearances, and violation records in coordination with the Control Center and Bus Operations Management Department.


·Prepare and process official correspondence, circulars, and documentation related to driver welfare, training schedules, and compliance submissions to regulatory authorities.


·Provide logistical and administrative support for driver training programs, awareness campaigns, and engagement events, including venue coordination, material preparation, and attendance tracking.


·Monitor and follow up on driver-related compliance requirements, license renewals, and regulatory submissions, escalating issues to the Manager as required.


·Coordinate with the Maintenance and Services Department, Bus Depots Section, and Control Center to ensure driver availability, shift scheduling support, and operational readiness.


Product/Process Improvement


·Identify and recommend improvements to driver lifecycle management processes, documentation workflows, and reporting mechanisms to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service quality.


·Support the adoption of digital tools, automation systems, and knowledge-management practices to streamline driver administrative operations and reduce manual processing time.


·Monitor compliance with internal SLAs and quality standards for driver-related transactions, documenting corrective actions and tracking resolution timelines.


Physical Working Conditions


Primarily office-based administrative role with occasional visits to bus depots and training facilities for onboarding, inspections, and engagement activities.


KPIs

Education


Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field. A recognized Diploma is acceptable with additional relevant experience.


Experience


0–2 years of relevant experience in HR administration, workforce management, or transport operations support (for bachelor’s degree holders). 5+ years of relevant experience for Diploma holders.
