Job Purpose

Responsible for preparing accurate BOQs and cost estimates based on approved designs and project requirements, while supporting cost optimization and ensuring alignment with Americana standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed BOQs based on Architectural, Interior Design and MEP drawings.
• Prepare high-level and detailed cost estimates for new stores, remodels and other projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and project requirements to ensure BOQ accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with Design, Construction and Real Estate teams to clarify scope and project requirements.
• Work with vendors and suppliers to validate pricing and obtain cost information when required.
• Identify and recommend value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs.
• Support cost evaluation and BOQ requirements for special and ad hoc projects.
• Ensure BOQs and estimates comply with Americana standards, specifications and local requirements.
• Maintain accurate cost data and support benchmarking across projects.
• Manage multiple BOQ requirements while meeting agreed project timelines.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 6–8 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, BOQ preparation and cost estimation.
• Experience in retail, F&B, hospitality or commercial projects would be an advantage.
• Experience preparing BOQs from Architectural and Interior Design drawings.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of Civil, Interior Design and MEP works and specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret Architectural, ID and MEP drawings.
• Experience in cost estimation, quantity take-offs and value engineering.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office.
• Knowledge of relevant local authority requirements and specifications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within deadlines.
