Overview of the role
To support the HRBP working at an operational level, providing a proactive Human Resources service to Logistics employees working with HR Connect (Human Resources Shared Services), Al Futtaim Logistics’ Line Managers and Third-Party providers.
What you will do
- Supporting Line Managers and Group Recruitment in interviews and assessment activity for roles such as HVD Drivers / Warehouse Operators etc.
- Actively source candidates for vacant positions in the business. Ensure Recruitment report is up to date.
- Ensure all new employees have C3 cards & Insurance card.
- Coordinating the local Induction Process for new & old employees within AFL.
- Advising offline / online employees within AFL on any Human Resources queries relating to processes and procedures, referring employees to relevant sources of support e.g. hr. Connect shared service / GASD / HRBP. Act as counsellor to employees as and when required
- Ensure all separation cases are forwarded to HRC before payroll deadline. Ensure every employee leaving HRC has an easy & quick exit. Ensure separations tracker is up to date.
- Ensure C3 card & insurance is deactivated to avoid any fines.
- Conducting exit interviews for all employees in grade 1-12 and providing feedback to HRBP.
- Preparing information for discussion with HR Manager and submission into monthly HR board pack.
- Collating, checking and entering information for inclusion into the monthly payroll in respect to: additional payments and deductions, overtime and leave in accordance with the Group’s payroll schedule and policies.
- AFL Values Award Programme (employee recognition scheme). Receiving nomination forms monthly and Checking nominations are in line with guidelines and approved by Manager.
- Organising the monthly AFL Values event with employees, HOL and Management team, preparing certificates and cash awards.
- Casual Labour Coordination – liaising with our 3rd Party Provider, in relation to the supply of Casual Labour.
- Maintaining records of hired laborers and preparation of the monthly reconciliation.
- Providing monthly sheets with cost calculations to Finance Department and 3rd party provider.
- Maintaining register of AFL employees residing in Employee Village accommodation and requests for transfers between villages, escalating any queries or complaints to relevant personnel.

- Ensuring resolution of requests related to employee requirements for food parcels, change of soft packs or other requirements.
- Co-ordinating with Group Housing for any amendments or new requests.
- Preparing information for discussion with HR Manager and submission into monthly HR board pack.
- Supporting HRBP / Line Managers in attending meetings with employees where HR representation is required. Providing assistance in the absence of HRBP.
- Ensuring JD availability for every role. Maintaining and updating the Org chart at business level.

What equips you for the role
- Bachelor’s Degree or above in relevant HR field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience within HR within UAE.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, SuccessFactors.
- Excellent level of spoken and written English.
