We are looking for a full-time remote Accountant with strong hands-on experience in UAE accounting regulations, including VAT and Corporate Tax compliance. Experience in the oil & gas and/or shipping/logistics industry is a strong advantage.

The ideal candidate will independently manage accounting operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support management with accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain full sets of accounts in accordance with UAE accounting standards
• Prepare, review and file monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Handle UAE VAT compliance:
• VAT returns
• VAT reconciliations
• FTA compliance and record-keeping
• Support UAE Corporate Tax compliance and reporting
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
• Handle multi-currency transactions
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and management as required
• Maintain proper documentation for audits and regulatory inspections

Skills

Proven experience as an Accountant handling UAE-based companies

Strong knowledge of:

• UAE VAT laws
• UAE Corporate Tax regulations
• IFRS (preferred)
• Experience in oil & gas, shipping, or logistics industries (preferred)
• Previous experience working with free zone or mainland UAE entities (preferred)

Experience using accounting software such as:

• QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Oracle, or similar

Ability to work independently in a remote setup

Excellent attention to detail and compliance

Strong communication skills in English
