This Dubai based role is responsible for leading the finance function of the company's chemical manufacturing operations in the region. The Finance Manager will oversee monthly closings, accounting transactions, financial reporting and compliance activities. The position requires strong operational finance capabilities along with hands on accounting leadership.

Description
· Lead and manage the monthly closing process for the Dubai operations
· Oversee all accounting transactions including journals, accruals, payments and reconciliations
· Prepare accurate financial statements and internal management reports
· Ensure proper maintenance of the general ledger and accounting records
· Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with UAE labour and statutory requirements
· Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations including bank, vendors, customers and intercompany accounts
· Coordinate directly with external auditors and manage audit preparation and documentation
· Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles
· Monitor financial performance and highlight variances to management
· Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal control policies
· Oversee VAT compliance and filing requirements within the UAE
· Supervise and mentor the finance team of five accountants, ensuring clarity of responsibilities and strong performance management
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives within finance processes and reporting
· Provide operational support to the manufacturing site on cost related and transactional matters
· Work closely with cross functional teams including operations, procurement and leadership to support business decision making
Profile
· Professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA or CMA (mandatory)
· Minimum of 7 years accounting or finance experience
· Experience managing a team within a finance function
· Strong month end closing and financial reporting experience
· Solid knowledge of accounting transactions and reconciliations
· Experience working in the UAE and currently based in the UAE
· Experience liaising with external auditors
· Strong Excel and accounting systems skills
