Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough sanctions screening on transactions and customer accounts using advanced tools and software to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective sanctions policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Analyze and escalate potential sanctions hits to senior management, providing detailed reports and recommendations for further action based on risk assessments.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in sanctions regulations and industry trends to ensure the organization remains compliant and adapts to evolving requirements.
- Assist in the development of training materials and conduct training sessions for staff on sanctions compliance and risk management practices.
- Participate in audits and assessments of the sanctions compliance program, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the implementation of corrective actions.
- Support the implementation of automated sanctions screening solutions, ensuring that systems are effectively tuned and maintained for optimal performance.
- Monitor ongoing transactions for potential red flags and conduct enhanced due diligence as necessary to mitigate risks associated with financial crime.
- Prepare and present regular reports on sanctions screening activities and compliance metrics to senior management, highlighting trends, challenges, and areas for improvement.

Skills
- Proficiency in sanctions screening tools and software, including Firco Continuity and Firco FSK, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical skills to assess complex information and identify potential risks associated with sanctions and financial crime.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and reporting to management.
- In-depth knowledge of AML, CFT, KYC, and CDD principles to ensure comprehensive compliance with financial regulations.
- Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and escalate findings to senior management for informed decision-making.
