MEP Engineer (DEWA Cert) Contracting

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP Engineer with an approved DEWA (Dubai Electricity and Water Authority) certificate for DEWA contracting. As an MEP Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within our projects, ensuring compliance with DEWA regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

1.Ensure adherence to DEWA regulations and standards throughout all MEP installations and activities.
2.Collaborate with project managers and architects to develop comprehensive MEP design and implementation plans.
3.Conduct thorough assessments of project requirements, including load calculations, system layouts, equipment selection, and specifications.
Prepare detailed MEP drawings, schematics, and technical documentation in compliance with DEWA guidelines.
4.Manage and coordinate MEP subcontractors, ensuring their compliance with project schedules and quality standards.
5.Conduct regular site visits to monitor MEP installations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with DEWA regulations.
6.Review and approve MEP material submittals, shop drawings, and test reports to ensure compliance with project specifications and DEWA requirements.
7.Provide technical support and guidance to the project team, addressing MEP-related queries and issues.
8.Conduct MEP inspections and commissioning activities to ensure proper functionality and performance of installed systems.
9.Collaborate with DEWA officials, consultants, and third-party inspectors during project inspections and audits.
10.Stay updated with the latest DEWA regulations, industry trends, and advancements in MEP systems and technologies.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or a related field).
2. Valid and approved DEWA certificate for contracting.
3. Proven experience in MEP engineering of minimum of 5 years, preferably in the construction industry of modern luxury villas (VIP VILLAS)
4. In-depth knowledge of DEWA regulations, codes, and standards related to MEP systems.
5. Strong proficiency in MEP design software, AutoCAD, and other relevant tools.
6. Excellent understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire protection, and lighting.
7. Ability to interpret MEP drawings, schematics, and specifications accurately.
8. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
9. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders, subcontractors, and DEWA officials.
10. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to address MEP-related challenges.
11. Valid driving license
