Warehouse In Charge (Automotive)

Job Purpose
Under the supervision of the Area In Charge — Automotive Services, the Warehouse In Charge will be responsible in maximizing the sales, efficiency and profitability of Automotive Services Warehouse he or she is managing.
Principal Accountabilities
Warehouse Management
a. Manage product movement:
1) Apply and comply with recommended inventory processes such as First In, First-out (FIFO),
2) Implement proper bin location.
3) Manage delivery ingress and egress so as to avoid congestion.
b. Maintain product quality.
1) Conduct "product rotation" especially for tires so as to prevent deformities such as flat spots.
2) Conduct periodic cleaning of all items especially tires.
3) Provide a monthly report to Area In Charge on expiring products.
4) Immediately report to the Area In Charge and to the responsible Category Manager any damaged or deformed product can be replaced by the supplier.
c. Product ordering and inventory control.
1) Fully responsible for ordering parts and products that will be stored at the warehouse.
2) Conduct regular analysis and review of fast moving and promo items.
3) Regularly coordinate with the Area In Charge, the Parts Assistant, the Category Managers and the various Site In Charges in order to understand their supply requirements.
Logistics Fleet Management
a. Manages the duty, tasks and schedule of the Logistics Coordinators.
b. Oversees that ali logistics vehicles are properly maintained at all times.
c. Conducts periodic ride-along with the Logistics Coordinators to understand their challenges and improve delivery processes.
Facility Management and effectiveness
a. Ensure the management of an effective preventive maintenance program for equipment and the facilities.
b. Initiate appropriate repairs to the facility and equipment.
c. Conduct periodic housekeeping.
d, Control the expenses of operating and maintain the facility.
5. Integrated Management System (IMS)
a. Improving and updating Integrated Management System implementation and policies related to the section by recommending the best practices available.
6. Energy, Environment, Health & Safety and Energy Resource Management
a. Adheres to agreed corporate and departmental guidelines on EHS and Energy Resource Management.
7. Communication
a. Responsible to resolve all internal customer complaints to the mutual satisfaction of both parties.
Minimum Requirements
a) Automobile diploma or equivalent/
b) 3 to 4 years working experience. A relevant exposure in the Automotive Industry is an advantage,
c) Excellent written and verbal communication with English. Other languages — Arabic, Hindi/Urdu also an added advantage
d) Superior PC skills and Workshop System knowledge.
e) Willingness to work outside normal office hours.
f) A UAE driver's license will be an advantage.
