Roles & Responsibilities
Operate and control the steel melting process in the Induction Furnace to achieve production and quality targets.
Monitor furnace parameters, temperature, power consumption, and raw material charging to ensure efficient melting operations.
Coordinate with furnace operators, crane operators, and production supervisors for smooth melting, tapping, and refining activities.
Ensure compliance with metallurgical specifications by monitoring chemical composition, temperature, and process parameters.
Follow safety procedures, maintain housekeeping standards, and promptly report any operational abnormalities or equipment issues.
Desired Candidate Profile
12th/ITI/Diploma in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
4–8 years of experience in a Steel Melting Shop (SMS), preferably in Induction Furnace (IF) and AOD operations.
Strong knowledge of steelmaking processes, furnace operations, raw material management, and tapping practices.
Ability to interpret production parameters and coordinate with quality and production teams.
Willingness to work in rotational shifts and high-temperature industrial environments.
