Synopsis
The Technical Competence Assessor will play a pivotal role in evaluating and enhancing the technical competencies of Etihad Technical Operations.
The responsibilities will include assessing the knowledge, skills, behaviours, and abilities of certifying and non-certifying staff in various technical areas, identifying gaps in their competence, and developing training and development plans to bridge those gaps.
Accountabilities
- Competency Assessment: Conducts comprehensive assessments of employees' technical competencies through various methods such as interviews and practical demonstrations.
- Gap Analysis: Identify gaps in employees' technical knowledge and skills and provide detailed feedback and recommendations for improvement.
- Training and Development Plans: Collaborate with department heads and training teams to create customized training and development plans for employees to address competency gaps.
- Monitoring Progress: Regularly tracks and monitors employees' progress in improving their technical competencies and adjust training plans as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of competency assessments, training plans, and progress reports for each employee.
- Feedback and Coaching: Provide constructive feedback and coaching to employees to support their continuous improvement in technical competence.
Education & Experience
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a certifying engineer B1/B2 on a mixture of wide and narrow-bodied modern aircraft.
• Experience of mentoring technical personnel and carrying out technical performance assessments.
• Extensive knowledge of CAR 145, CAR 66 regulations and an active interest in SMS.
• Excellent communication levels and the ability for providing constructive feedback.
