Job Purpose


The Facilities Management Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operational and maintenance activities related to the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems of buildings. This role involves planning, scheduling, and reviewing operational tasks to ensure optimal performance of systems and equipment. The supervisor is also responsible for managing and supervising the technical team, ensuring efficient usage of resources, and providing technical support to various projects and maintenance activities.


Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight:

  • Plan, schedule, and review day-to-day operational and maintenance activities related to MEP systems.
  • Monitor the operation of various MEP systems to ensure optimum performance of equipment.

Management and Supervision:

  • Manage and supervise the daily activities of the technical team.
  • Ensure optimal usage of manpower and resources.

Maintenance and Repair:

  • Oversee and carry out maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Provide technical support to project teams on all Facilities Systems.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and provide management reports in a timely manner as required.
  • Prepare competency assessments and issue standing instructions.

Coordination and Collaboration:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise in-house staff, consultants, and specialist service contractors on building services.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and protocols for Facilities Services.

Emergency Response and Contingency Planning:

  • Understand emergency response and contingency plans.
  • Coordinate emergency response activities as necessary.

Contract Management and Project Oversight:

  • Perform Annual Maintenance Contract reviews and management.
  • Project-manage technical oversight, coordinating work through project meetings and monitoring progress against schedules.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Provide analysis and technical commentary on maintenance feedback from both in-house and specialist service providers.
  • Ensure that the quality and quantity of work align with Service Level Agreements/KPIs.
  • Conform to all necessary internal and/or external approvals before, during, and after project work, including Permit to Work and Lockout/Tag Out procedures.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.


Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in facilities management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems and building services.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as MAXIMO Automated Maintenance Management System.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Certification in facilities management or related field is advantageous.
