1. Coordinate and support a wide-ranging day to day library operations and perform duties at the front desk
2. Provide check-in and checkout of library materials using the library online circulation system; send overdue reminders
3. Respond to user inquiries by emails, chat, and telephone
4. Coordinate the acquisition, cataloguing, and organization of library materials.
5. Classify all kinds of the library materials including student dissertations.
6. Maintain library’s physical collections. This includes regular shelf reading
7. Provide research and reference services to users. Help users perform literature searches using subscribed databases, printed resources, or the internet.
8. Assist in providing support to students and faculty related to the learning management system (Blackboard). This may include enrollment, course creation, assignment submissions, etc.
9. Coordinate interlibrary document delivery services.
10. Handle user inquiries, complaints, and feedback effectively and report to the Manager when necessary
11. Perform weekend duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field.
