Roles & Responsibilities
Manage the spare parts inventory, including ordering, stocking, and replenishing parts to ensure availability for repair and maintenance needs.
Develop and implement inventory management procedures to optimize stock levels, minimize obsolescence, and reduce costs.
Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms for spare parts procurement.
Monitor parts usage, track inventory levels, and generate reports to analyze trends and forecast future demand.
Work closely with service technicians, engineers, and other departments to identify spare parts requirements and ensure timely delivery.
Proven experience in spare parts, preferably in marine industries.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
Build and maintain relationships with existing clients, providing product information, pricing, and technical support as needed.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations to customers, addressing their specific needs and requirements.
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming spare parts shipments for accuracy and quality.
Maintain organized inventory storage, including labeling, shelving, and documentation of parts location.
Pick, pack, and prepare spare parts orders for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
Desired Candidate Profile
o Minimum 2–3 years of experience in spare parts operations (preferably in the marine industry). o Knowledge of parts catalogues, inventory systems, and SAP software. o Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. o Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks. o Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). o Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
