The Role We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance activities supporting production operations, maximize equipment reliability, and minimize unplanned downtime. The successful candidate will supervise maintenance personnel, coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, monitor maintenance performance, and ensure production assets operate safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily maintenance activities supporting production operations. Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs. Assign maintenance tasks to technicians based on operational priorities. Monitor equipment condition, reliability, and maintenance requirements. Respond promptly to production equipment breakdowns and failures. Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of recurring equipment problems. Minimize unplanned downtime and production interruptions. Coordinate maintenance activities with Production and Operations teams. Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently. Monitor machinery, electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and production utilities. Review equipment performance and identify potential failure risks. Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules. Ensure maintenance inspections are completed according to established schedules. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history. Monitor spare parts, tools, consumables, and maintenance materials. Coordinate with Procurement regarding required spare parts and technical supplies. Liaise with external contractors and service providers when specialist support is required. Review contractor work quality and ensure compliance with specifications. Support equipment installation, commissioning, upgrades, and modifications. Assist Engineering teams with maintenance improvement projects. Monitor maintenance KPIs including downtime, MTBF, MTTR, and maintenance costs. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports. Analyze equipment failure trends and recommend corrective actions. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability. Support lean maintenance, reliability, and operational-excellence initiatives. Ensure maintenance activities comply with company policies and technical standards. Enforce lockout/tagout and safe isolation procedures. Conduct routine workplace and equipment safety inspections. Identify maintenance-related hazards and implement corrective measures. Support emergency response and business-continuity activities. Train, coach, and develop maintenance technicians. Monitor team attendance, productivity, workmanship, and performance. Conduct shift handovers and communicate outstanding maintenance issues. Maintain technical documentation, equipment manuals, drawings, and maintenance procedures. Support audits and regulatory or safety inspections. Ensure maintenance tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated where applicable. Perform other maintenance and production-support duties as assigned. Requirements Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, production maintenance, manufacturing, or a similar environment. Previous experience supervising maintenance technicians or engineering teams is preferred. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance principles. Practical experience with industrial machinery, production equipment, and plant utilities. Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills. Experience developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Understanding of CMMS, maintenance planning, work orders, and equipment history. Knowledge of PLCs, motors, pumps, conveyors, compressors, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is an advantage. Strong understanding of workplace safety and maintenance procedures. Familiarity with lockout/tagout and safe isolation practices. Strong knowledge of maintenance KPIs and reliability metrics. Excellent leadership, communication, and team-coordination skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively under production pressure and manage competing priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems. Experience with lean manufacturing or reliability-centered maintenance is an advantage.
