Job Description

Novotel & Adagio Premium Dubai Al Barsha is seeking a talented and passionate Commis 2 - Pastry to join our culinary team. As a key member of our pastry department, you will assist in creating delectable desserts and pastries that delight our guests and uphold our reputation for excellence.


  • Prepare a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to recipes and standards
  • Assist the Pastry Chef and team members in daily operations
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and presentation of desserts
  • Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
  • Contribute creative ideas for new dessert menu items
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen or bakery setting
  • Strong knowledge of pastry preparation techniques and baking skills
  • Proficiency in using pastry equipment and tools
  • Understanding of various pastry styles and techniques
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • Culinary diploma or certificate in pastry arts (preferred)
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Passion for creating high-quality desserts and pastries
