The Cost Clerk at Al-Futtaim Motors is a crucial role focused on precise management of job costing according to retail and distributor guidelines. This position requires a diligent approach to verify, process, and administer all departmental job costings. Conflict resolution and communication skills are necessary to address rejected job cards, ensuring complete adherence to operational programs and maximizing productive work hours. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, the Cost Clerk aids in minimizing lost hours by ensuring accurate claim of manufacturer's repair time and proper job card handling.
What You Will Do:
Complete the daily process, review, verification, and processing of job cards.
Ensure that productive working hours are claimed against each repair type and minimize lost productive hours.
Ensure that each job card meets the distributor recommended operational programs to ensure correct procedure and Kaizen adherence.
Review each repair to ensure the approved manufacturer's repair time is claimed and processed.
Ensure correct use and allocation of repair codes on all job cards.
Escalate all non-costed repairs over 72 hours to the Service Manager.
Conduct weekly reviews of Work In Progress to ensure all Job Cards are processed and costed.
Receive, process, and administer departmental job costing in accordance with retail and distributor process requirements and guidelines.
Return unacceptable job cards to the appropriate department with clear and concise reasons for rejection.
Desired Candidate Profile
Basic qualification or High school graduate.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
Strong English communication skills.
Self-motivated and self-driven person.
Must be a UAE National with family book.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
Basic qualification or High school diploma.
Previous experience in administration or back-office operations strongly preferred.
Excellent English and Arabic speaking skills; must engage confidently with clients and colleagues.
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel.
Self-motivated and self-driven towards achieving objectives.
Customer-oriented with effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
