Roles & Responsibilities

The Project Manager – Interior Design & Fit-Out holds full accountability for the delivery of fit-out and interior design contracts from award to handover. This senior role manages cost, programme, quality, HSE, and client relationships across commercial, residential, and hospitality fit-out projects in the UAE/GCC.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full project lifecycle for fit-out and interior design contracts including mobilisation, execution, commissioning, and handover.

  • Manage and coordinate multi-discipline on-site teams covering joinery, gypsum, false ceiling, flooring, painting, MEP finishes, and FF&E installation.

  • Develop and maintain project programmes (Primavera P6 / MS Project); monitor progress and drive recovery plans where required.

  • Control project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and monthly cost reports; manage variations and change orders with the client.

  • Represent GINCO in all client, consultant, and authority meetings; manage relationships professionally and proactively.

  • Ensure all works comply with contract specifications, approved shop drawings, mock-ups, and UAE authority requirements.

  • Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and subcontractor programmes.

  • Drive HSE culture and enforce site safety compliance across all contractors and trades.

  • Manage subcontractor and supplier performance, procurement, and claims.

  • Oversee snagging, defects rectification, and project close-out documentation.


Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Civil Engineering (PMP certification preferred).

  • 10+ years of fit-out and interior design project management experience in UAE/GCC.

  • Proven track record delivering commercial, hospitality, or high-end residential fit-out projects.

  • Strong knowledge of UAE fit-out authority submission processes (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, SEWA, etc.).

  • Excellent leadership, contract management (FIDIC/bespoke), and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency in project management software, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite.
