Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain PLC systems used in marine applications
Troubleshoot and repair automation systems onboard ships and offshore platforms
Monitor and maintain control systems for engines, pumps, compressors, and cargo systems
Interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, and PLC logic
Perform diagnostics on HMI/SCADA systems and communication networks
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of control panels and instrumentation
Support system upgrades, retrofits, and commissioning activities
Ensure compliance with marine safety standards and regulations
Coordinate with onboard engineers, shipyard teams, and OEM vendors
Maintain detailed service reports and technical documentation
Desired Candidate Profile
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation Engineering
Strong knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.)
Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, CAN, Ethernet/IP)
Understanding of marine electrical and control systems
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
Good troubleshooting and analytical skills
Willingness to travel offshore and work in challenging marine environments
