Roles & Responsibilities

Our client is a well-established precision engineering company based in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai. They specialise in CNC precision machining, thermal spray coatings, laser cladding, surface finishing, and component repair services. They serve clients across Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Power Generation, and other industrial sectors, operating a fully equipped, in-house workshop with stringent quality standards.

The Role We are hiring a QC Engineer on behalf of our client. The focus of this role is on NEBOSH-qualified professionals with a strong background in quality inspection, HSE compliance, and hands-on experience in precision engineering environments. The ideal candidate will ensure all inspection activities meet client specifications and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee day-to-day inspection activities — incoming, in-process, CMM, and final inspection.

• Monitor inspection timelines and ensure tasks are completed on schedule.

• Assign and guide QC inspectors; review daily performance and KPIs.

• Ensure final QC documentation is complete and accurate upon job completion.

• Review customer drawings and specifications; ensure inspections are carried out in line with requirements.

• Monitor, report, and coordinate resolution of non-conformances (NC) with the Quality Manager.

• Maintain calibration records; coordinate with calibration agencies and verify certificates.

• Ensure full traceability of inspected products throughout the production process.

• Conduct and support training for inspectors and operators on CMM, Gas Rig testing, and inspection methodology.

• Ensure safe working practices and appropriate use of PPE at all times.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Engineering Degree / Diploma / ITI

Qualification: NEBOSH certification — mandatory

Experience: Minimum 7 years in a production/QC environment, preferably in Oil & Gas or related industries

Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments: OD/ID micrometers, Vernier callipers, bore gauges, dial gauges (TIR inspection).

• Proficient in reading engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.

• Knowledge of CMM inspection and Gas Rig testing procedures.

• Strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS) and HSE procedures.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communicator with meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight delivery schedules.

• Leadership skills to guide and mentor a team of inspectors.
