Job Summary:


This executive role will be responsible for managing J.P. Morgans overall relationships with the CEEMEA (Central Eastern Europe. Middle East and Africa) subsidiaries of international corporations globally to understand their problems and align solutions to address them.  As part of the Global Subsidiary Banking team within J.P. Morgans Global Corporate Banking franchise, the CEEMEA Subsidiary Banking team helps our clients meet their objectives and challenges in financing, risk management, working capital, cash management and investments.  Clients benefit from dedicated coverage provided by the team, who deliver the firm's extensive product platform and presence in more than 60 countries worldwide. 


 This role leads the CEEMEA coverage of multinational subsidiaries and the team of Corporate Bankers aligned against them.  This position reports locally to the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) Senior Country Officer and globally to the Global Head of Subsidiary Banking.  This position will be based in Dubai and require significant travel across the CEEMEA region alongside travel into the US, Asia Pacific and Europe from time to time. 


Core Responsibilities: 


Business Results


  • Drive the overall strategy for the CEEMEA Subsidiary Banking client franchise including coverage model, entering into new markets, revenue growth in existing markets, new business origination, and optimizing lending relationships and client returns
  • Drive and manage the team to deliver against financial targets including revenue growth, closed new business and forward-looking pipeline
  • Drive strategic account planning for targeted clients, focusing on the use of credit capital and balancing client needs against firm wide priorities
  • Serve as a knowledge hub / subsidiary subject matter expert for the region.  Ensure that industry content is delivered globally to Corporate Bankers
  • Drive thought leadership by highlighting emerging trends and potential opportunities and pursue internal and external education efforts for clients and bankers on relevant topics. Ensure the team gets information on competitor activity
  • Proactively drive transparency and knowledge of CEEMEA capabilities with Headquarter and Subsidiary Bankers globally
     

Client/Customer Focus


  • Conduct comprehensive client analysis to identify business needs that align with JPMorgan's broad array of banking products across debt capital markets, risk management, payments, trade and working capital and asset management: transformation of client analysis into concrete opportunities to solve client problems
  • Drive the strategy for multinational subsidiaries into new markets and drive the execution of the strategy 
  • Drive the development of forward-looking business plans and strategic call strategies for clients in conjunction with ongoing business relationship management
  • Deliver the full solution set to clients including in-scope Investment Banking products (including: traditional credit product, private placements, ABS/Conduit, FX, Flow derivatives, Commodities, and Rates) and all non-Investment Banking products (including: Payments, Securities Services, and Asset Management)
  • Assist in the process of new business development and relationship management for clients
  • Drive/build an optimized coverage model for the client franchise working and coordinating with the line of business partners such as Payments, Debt Capital Markets, Markets, Asset Management, and Investment Bank Client Executives where appropriate

Teamwork & Leadership


  • Manage a team of corporate bankers to high levels of performance and client satisfactions while having direct responsibility for coverage of select clients
  • Proactively build and drive collaborative firm wide relationships with multinational subsidiaries product and coverage resources, credit, and other relevant partners
  • Market and showcase corporate bank client deals and success stories to the broader coverage franchise
  • Proactively drive talent management holistically including growth, mobility, and succession planning

Risk & Control


  • Ensure individual and team compliance with all applicable regulations governing corporate banking activities
  • Objectively represent client issues at committees as appropriate
  • Manage/meet the required regulatory deliverables for KYC including new business, remediation, and renewal
  • Ensure individual and team compliance with all required training deliverables

Qualifications:


  • Preferably fluent in Arabic.  Essential that they are fluent in English
  • Extensive knowledge of two or more sub-regions within the CEEMEA region 
  • Minimum of 14 years of professional experience with a deep product expertise in Corporate Finance, Payments, Trade and Working capital solutions 
  • Demonstrated experience in building a greenfield business, specifically with a focus on leading new market entries
  • Strong background in strategic planning and able to demonstrate execution of a strategy
  • Exceptional senior leader with a multiyear proven track record 
  • Strong commercial judgment and influencing abilities
  • Team player, capable of building relationships with clients at the c-suite level, key business partners and senior management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
