The Sales Assistant is responsible for generating sales and ensuring a positive customer experience in the market hall area. This role involves supporting all operational duties as assigned by the shopkeeper, which includes arranging products and maintaining the sales floor. Success in this role is measured by the ability to meet or exceed sales targets, follow store policies, and contribute positively to the team.
What You Will Do:
Create a sparkling clean and organized environment by maintaining store standards and cleanliness.
Represent a positive attitude toward the merchandise, the brand, and the company.
Assume and complete other duties as assigned by the shopkeeper.
Meet or exceed weekly sales targets.
Participate in all market hall inventories.
Participate in and attend all store meetings and related functions.
Be punctual and adhere to designated work schedule.
Be flexible and work well with peers and management to accomplish duties.
Follow IKEA policies and procedures 100%.
Create a positive first impression for the customer through an energetic attitude and adhering to dress code.
Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile.
Provide customers with current and relevant information.
Desired Candidate Profile
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail.
Physical fitness to handle stock and stand for long periods.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
High School Degree.
A minimum of 1 year of retail sales experience.
Good verbal communication skills.
Ability to lift certain products and stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
Warm and friendly with customer focus.
Adherence to Al-Futtaim and IKEA values.
