Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of kitchen operations, providing hands-on oversight and direction to a skilled culinary team.

  • Develop, design, and execute bespoke seasonal menus catering to the principals’ preferences, dietary needs, and guest requirements.

  • Maintain uncompromising standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency for daily dining and special events.

  • Source and select the highest quality ingredients, ensuring sustainability and provenance are prioritised in all purchases.

  • Manage procurement, inventory, and budgetary control in line with household protocols.

  • Ensure the rigorous application of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards within the kitchen.

  • Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff, cultivating a respectful and high-performance team spirit.

  • Collaborate closely with household management to plan events, respond to last-minute requests, and accommodate special occasions.

  • Oversee the cleanliness, organisation, and maintenance of all kitchen equipment and workspaces.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in fine-dining restaurants, luxury hotels, or prestigious private households, including at least 3 years in a head chef or executive chef capacity.

  • Demonstrated expertise in multiple world cuisines, with the ability to customise menus to varied nutritional and cultural preferences.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to culinary excellence and impeccable kitchen standards.

  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

  • Proven track record in budget management, cost control, and supplier relations.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of food hygiene regulations and best practices in a private residence or luxury setting.

  • High degree of discretion, reliability, and respect for household privacy and protocols.

  • Creative, adaptable, and able to work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
