Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities – IT Technician Support and Maintenance

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, networks, and related IT equipment across the organisation.

  • Provide proactive first and second-line technical support for all users, diagnosing and resolving IT issues promptly in line with service standards.

  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of IT assets, hardware inventory, and software licences using established asset management systems.

  • Troubleshoot problems with desktops, laptops, printers, and network devices, escalating issues when necessary in accordance with company guidelines.

  • Collaborate with IT colleagues to implement regular system updates, security patches, and antivirus processes to safeguard network integrity and data security.

  • Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of users by setting up accounts, deploying devices, and managing user permissions within company systems.

  • Support meeting rooms, AV systems, and remote conferencing tools to facilitate seamless business communications and operations.

  • Contribute to IT projects, including systems migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives as directed by IT management.

  • Promote a positive IT service culture, maintaining professionalism and empathy in all user interactions, and providing clear instructions when needed.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in a hands-on IT Technician, IT Support, or Helpdesk role, preferably in a hospitality, office, or multi-department environment.

  • Excellent knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, MS Office Suite, and standard business applications.

  • Basic networking skills, including familiarity with TCP/IP, Wi-Fi configuration, and troubleshooting network connectivity issues.

  • Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and resolve tasks efficiently.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to support colleagues at all technical levels, both in-person and remotely.

  • Commitment to confidentiality, data protection, and compliance with all relevant IT security policies.

  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and willingness to learn as the IT environment evolves.

Desirable Qualifications & Additional Experience – IT Certifications and Continuous Learning

  • Formal IT qualifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional, or equivalent (preferred).

  • Experience supporting hospitality-specific or property management systems.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (e.g., Office 365, Google Workspace) and remote management tools.

  • Awareness of current technology trends, cybersecurity threats, and best practices in IT service delivery.
