Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Housekeeping Attendant to join our housekeeping team. This position is open to applicants from all backgrounds and is gender neutral. The role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our guests and staff.


Key responsibilities for Housekeeping Attendant

  • Clean and tidy guest rooms, corridors and public areas to company standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, polishing and replenishing amenities.

  • Clean and sanitise bathrooms, replace toiletries and ensure high standards of hygiene are maintained at all times.

  • Change bed linen and towels according to procedures, handling soiled linen safely and delivering cleaned linen to appropriate areas.

  • Report any maintenance issues, damage or missing items promptly to the supervisor and follow up as required.

  • Adhere to cleaning schedules and checklists, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently within allocated timeframes.

  • Ensure lost property is handled and logged according to company policy.

  • Maintain cleaning equipment and trolleys in good working order; report faults and request replacements when necessary.

  • Assist with laundry duties when required, including sorting, loading machines and folding linen following hygiene procedures.

  • Provide courteous and professional service to guests and colleagues, responding to reasonable requests and maintaining guest privacy and confidentiality.

  • Follow health and safety policies, use personal protective equipment where required and report any hazards or incidents immediately.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel, serviced accommodation or similar environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.

  • Good attention to detail with a consistent approach to cleanliness and presentation.

  • Basic communication skills in English; additional languages including Indonesian are an advantage.

  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently and as part of a team with a positive and professional attitude.

  • Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks, including lifting, bending and standing for extended periods during shifts.

  • Reliable, punctual and organised with good time-management skills.

  • Awareness of health, safety and hygiene best practice and willingness to complete relevant training.

Qualifications and certifications preferred

  • Basic food hygiene or health and safety training desirable where role includes handling laundry or In-room refreshments; training can be provided.

  • Relevant vocational qualifications in hospitality or cleaning are advantageous but not required.

Working hours, salary and benefits

  • Full-time and part-time contracts available; shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays in line with operational needs.
