Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented housekeeping attendant to join our team. The successful candidate will maintain cleanliness and order across guest and public areas, support daily cleaning operations, and contribute to a welcoming environment for guests and colleagues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
§ Clean and tidy guest rooms, corridors, stairwells and public areas to company standards
§ Change bed linen, make beds and replace towels and amenities
§ Dust, vacuum, sweep and mop floors; clean windows, mirrors and surfaces
§ Replenish minibars, toiletries and guest supplies as required
§ Remove rubbish and transport to designated disposal areas
§ Report maintenance defects and safety hazards to the supervisor
§ Follow hotel procedures for lost and found items and report accordingly
§ Comply with health, safety and hygiene standards at all times
§ Assist with laundry operations when required
§ Support set-up and cleaning for meetings, events and turn-down service as requested
GUEST SERVICE & COMMUNICATION
§ Provide courteous and professional service to guests and colleagues
§ Respond promptly to guest requests and special requirements
§ Maintain confidentiality and respect guest privacy
§ Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
STOCK, EQUIPMENT & RECORDS
§ Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
§ Report low stock levels and assist with stock rotation
§ Care for and use cleaning equipment safely and correctly
§ Complete daily checklists and housekeeping reports as required
TRAINING & PROFESSIONALISM
§ Attend training sessions and follow standard operating procedures
§ Support induction of new housekeeping team members when asked
§ Uphold a professional appearance and follow uniform policy
OTHER DUTIES
§ Perform other duties as assigned by the Direct Manager
Desired Candidate Profile
Secondary education or equivalent preferred
Work Experience
§ Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality or a similar environment is desirable
§ Experience working to high cleanliness standards and time pressures is an advantage
Knowledge
§ Knowledge of cleaning methods, products and safe handling procedures
§ Awareness of hygiene standards and health & safety best practice
Skills
§ Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
§ Good time management and organisational skills
§ Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions
§ Good communication skills and a polite, guest-focused manner
§ Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks
Other Requirements
§ Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required
§ Right to work in the UK
