Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform intricate repairs on engines, transmissions, and other major vehicle systems, ensuring precision and adherence to manufacturer specifications.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to pinpoint the root cause of problems.
  • Oversee and mentor junior mechanics, providing guidance, training, and support to foster their professional development and maintain high-quality workmanship.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and road tests to verify repairs, identify potential issues, and ensure vehicles meet safety standards and performance expectations.
  • Manage and maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment, adhering to all safety regulations and promoting a culture of responsible practices.
  • Procure and manage inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring efficient workflow and minimizing downtime by anticipating needs and ordering accordingly.
  • Estimate repair costs and provide detailed explanations to customers, ensuring transparency and building trust through clear communication and accurate assessments.
  • Stay current with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through continuous learning and training, adapting to evolving vehicle designs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair advanced electronic systems, including onboard computers, sensors, and control modules, using diagnostic equipment.
  • Collaborate with service advisors and other team members to provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for every customer.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrate prior experience working in a fast-paced automotive repair environment, showcasing adaptability and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills, able to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues with precision.
  • Display excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, essential for test drives and vehicle movement.
  • Showcase physical stamina and dexterity, with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions for extended periods.
  • Be fluent in English (written and spoken), ensuring effective communication with customers and team members.
  • Have a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience as an automotive mechanic, providing a wealth of practical knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain ASE certifications (e.g., Engine Repair, Electrical/Electronic Systems), validating expertise and commitment to professional standards.
  • Hold a relevant automotive technology degree or certification from a recognized institution, showcasing a formal understanding of vehicle systems.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a foundational level of education and commitment to learning.
