Sr. Technician (Field Installation & Maintenance Technician)

Work Type: 100% Field-Based

Travel Requirement: Extensive travel to remote, industrial, onshore, offshore, warehouse, and outdoor locations

Driving Licence is Mandatory Purpose Perform field installation, maintenance, dismantling, and troubleshooting activities for CCTV, networking, structured cabling, and associated infrastructure systems in industrial and harsh environments. Support project execution activities involving cabling, mounting, coring, lifting, and equipment installation while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

Installation & Field Activities • Install CCTV cameras, networking devices, racks, enclosures, antennas, conduits, and related field equipment. • Perform CAT6A cable pulling, routing, dressing, labelling, and termination activities. • Install armoured flexible conduits, cable trays, junction boxes, glands, and cable support accessories. • Carry out drilling, coring, anchoring, and mounting activities on walls, steel structures, catwalks, poles, and concrete surfaces. • Assist in installation of industrial and explosion-proof (Ex-type / ATEX-rated) racks and enclosures. • Install and secure safety slings, lock-pins, clamps, and dropped-object prevention accessories. • Support installation of network switches, servers, power distribution units, UPS systems, and related equipment. • Assist with lifting and positioning of heavy materials and equipment using approved lifting methods and tools. Maintenance & Troubleshooting • Perform preventive maintenance and physical inspections of installed systems. • Replace damaged cables, connectors, glands, brackets, or field accessories when required. • Support troubleshooting of CCTV, PoE, network connectivity, and power-related issues. • Verify cable continuity, link status, power availability, and equipment LED indications. • Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement inside racks and enclosures. Documentation & Compliance • Follow approved drawings, installation standards, and work instructions. • Update installation checklists, cable tags, and maintenance records. • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, Permit-to-Work procedures, and site regulations. • Properly handle tools, PPE, consumables, and test equipment. Required Qualifications & Experience • ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or equivalent technical trade. • 2–4 years of experience in field installation or maintenance activities related to CCTV, networking, telecom, or industrial systems. • Familiarity with cable termination tools, power tools, drilling equipment, and structured cabling practices. • Physically fit for outdoor work, lifting activities, and work-at-height tasks. Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in any of the below will be preferred: • Industrial / Oil & Gas / warehouse / infrastructure projects • Explosion-proof (Ex-type / ATEX) equipment installations • Structured cabling and networking environments • Outdoor and harsh-environment deployments Preferred Certifications / Competencies • Work at Height • Basic First Aid • Basic Fire Fighting • H2S Safety Awareness • Manlift Operator Awareness • Confined Space Awareness • Safety Induction / HSE Training Soft Skills • Good practical and troubleshooting skills • Ability to work in teams under site supervision • Willingness to travel and work in remote locations • Discipline in following safety and quality procedures • Basic communication and reporting skills
