Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive specialist gastroenterology care in line with best practice guidelines and regulatory standards

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal, liver, and digestive disorders Perform endoscopic procedures and relevant diagnostic interventions

  • Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic investigations

  • Develop and manage personalised treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions

  • Provide expert clinical opinions and take independent responsibility for patient care

  • Collaborate with primary care physicians, surgeons, and allied health professionals to optimise outcomes

  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental development

  • Support medical education and ongoing professional development activities

  • Promote patient education, preventive care, and long-term disease management

Desired Candidate Profile

Candidate Profile

  • DHA Licensed or DHA Eligible Specialist Gastroenterologist

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience at Specialist level post-qualification

  • Strong experience in outpatient (OPD) and procedural gastroenterology

  • Comfortable working across multiple clinic locations Excellent communication and patient engagement skills

  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment

  • Patient-focused, ethical, and quality-driven in clinical practice

  • Arabic language skills are an advantage


Qualifications and Experience

  • MBBS / MBChB or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution

  • Completed specialty qualification recognised by DHA / HAAD / MOH Valid Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS is an advantage

  • Proven competence across all aspects of gastroenterology including procedural work

  • Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage
