Travel Consultant Intern

Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and travel-passionate Travel Consultant Intern to join our growing team.
This is a paid internship designed for someone who wants practical experience in travel consultation, itinerary planning, customer service, and sales. The intern will support client enquiries, assist in designing personalised journeys, coordinate with destination partners, and help convert travel ideas into confirmed bookings.
The role involves working on destinations across Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and expedition regions, as well as premium cruise products.
Key Responsibilities
Client Consultation and Sales
Handle travel enquiries through WhatsApp, email, and phone
Understand client preferences, travel dates, budget, and travel style
Recommend suitable destinations, hotels, tours, cruises, and experiences
Assist in preparing personalised travel proposals and quotations
Follow up with clients and support the conversion of enquiries into bookings
Identify opportunities for upgrades, add-ons, and additional services
Itinerary Planning
Research destinations, hotels, attractions, transfers, and activities
Create clear, engaging, and well-paced travel itineraries
Compare supplier options and help prepare competitive packages
Ensure itineraries match client expectations, budget, and travel requirements
Coordinate with destination management companies, hotels, cruise operators, and other suppliers
Trip Preparation and Operations
Support clients with pre-travel planning and documentation
Coordinate booking confirmations, vouchers, transfers, and activity details
Maintain accurate client and booking records
Assist in monitoring ongoing trips and resolving operational concerns
Help ensure a smooth client experience from enquiry to post-travel follow-up
Product Knowledge and Learning
Stay updated on destinations, hotels, cruises, travel trends, and visa requirements
Attend supplier webinars, product training sessions, and industry events
Develop strong knowledge of BlueTerra’s products and preferred destinations
Support the team in developing new packages and travel experiences
Marketing and Content Support
Assist in creating travel-related content for social media, WhatsApp, and email campaigns
Contribute ideas for destination promotions and seasonal travel offers
Support the preparation of itinerary highlights, captions, and promotional material
Required Skills and Experience
Strong interest in travel, destinations, and customer service
Good knowledge of international destinations
Ability to research and organise travel information
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Confidence in speaking with clients through phone, WhatsApp, and email
Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple enquiries
Basic sales ability and willingness to learn client conversion techniques
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
Previous experience in travel sales, hospitality, customer service, or itinerary planning will be an advantage but is not mandatory.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of the UAE travel market
Familiarity with CRM systems such as Zoho or similar tools
Experience creating travel proposals or quotations
Knowledge of cruise products and multi-destination travel
Basic content creation or social media skills
Strong upselling and relationship-building ability
