Supervise daily lifting and rigging activities for high-rise civil tower construction.
Coordinate lifting operations for rebar, formwork, scaffolding, concrete materials, MEP materials, façade materials, and other construction items.
Supervise riggers, banksmen, and signalmen and coordinate closely with crane operators.
Ensure all lifting activities follow approved lifting plans, method statements, risk assessments, and site HSE requirements.
Ensure proper selection, inspection, and safe use of slings, shackles, lifting beams, hooks, and other lifting accessories.
Establish and maintain safe lifting zones, exclusion areas, and access controls.
Conduct toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings and ensure lifting crews understand the requirements of each lift.
Monitor crane positioning, load stability, weather conditions, and site conditions during lifting operations.
Immediately stop and report unsafe lifting activities, equipment defects, or potential hazards.
Coordinate lifting activities with civil engineers, site supervisors, logistics, and other construction teams to maintain project progress.
Maintain lifting inspection and operational records and ensure lifting equipment has valid certification.
Desired Candidate Profile
8+ years of lifting/rigging experience, preferably on high-rise civil tower projects in the UAE/GCC.
Strong experience working with tower cranes, mobile cranes, hoists, and construction lifting equipment.
Good knowledge of rigging practices, lifting accessories, SWL/WLL, sling angles, and safe lifting procedures.
Ability to understand lifting plans and coordinate lifting activities in a busy high-rise construction environment.
Strong safety awareness, communication, and team-supervision skills.
Relevant lifting/rigging competency certification is preferred.
