Job Details

  • EGA Strategy and Corporate Development

    • Drives, assists and leads one or more work streams that contribute to the development of EGA’s strategy and business objectives.

    • Supports the definition and execution of EGA strategic priorities and the annual strategy development process.

    • Supports the review, analysis and syndication of new investment opportunities across the value chain and on a global basis.

    Value Capture Internal Consulting and Ad Hoc Requests

    • Develops performance improvement initiatives and projects, such as operational improvements and OPEX or CAPEX reduction, and engages appropriate functions to align and implement these initiatives.

    • Interprets results from multiple project components and data, translates findings into clear and compelling recommendations and solutions, and builds strong business cases for new strategic initiatives and projects.

    • Implements one or more initiatives or projects covering all business areas of EGA, including revenue enhancing initiatives and cost reduction initiatives across OPEX and CAPEX, with measurable bottom line impact.

    • Conducts analysis of ad hoc requests to identify whether projects could be profitable or contribute to the realization of EGA’s strategy.

    • Gathers, synthesizes and analyses projects and investment opportunities and presents findings to make recommendations to EGA’s Executive Committee.

    • Supports EGA’s and the wider UAE industry’s decarbonization journey through selected acquisitions and in house innovations.

    Authority and Decision Making

    • Coordinates the implementation of specific strategic initiatives.

    • Makes key recommendations and decisions for specific projects and work streams led by the job holder, within the scope of work.

    • The Senior Associate reports to a Manager in the Strategy and Corporate Development team and confers with the Manager on all material and strategic issues in a timely and coherent manner.

    • Coaches and mentors Associates to ensure knowledge transfer and build sustained capability.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Strategy or a related specialization.

    Minimum Experience

    • 5 years of relevant experience in Strategy, Finance or related business analysis in a reputable organization, such as a consulting firm or investment bank.

    • Experience in managing junior resources.

    • Ability to synthesize and interpret data.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Effective prioritization skills to meet a complex set of business demands.

    • Proven ability to manage work streams and junior resources.
