  • We are currently looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join our Service team in Abu Dhabi. The role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring maintenance, servicing, and repair work for heavy-duty trucks is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

    The successful candidate will supervise a team of technicians and service advisors, allocate work based on priorities and technical expertise, monitor job progress, support quality checks, and contribute to achieving workshop revenue, gross margin, productivity, and customer satisfaction targets.

    What you will do

    • Oversee daily workshop operations for heavy-duty truck maintenance, servicing, and repair activities.

    • Allocate jobs to technicians based on workload, priority, and technical expertise.

    • Monitor job progress, identify delays, and take corrective action to ensure timely completion.

    • Support the achievement of workshop labour and parts sales targets, including revenue and gross margin objectives.

    • Review and approve repair and service reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality.

    • Conduct quality checks on completed jobs and ensure repairs meet required standards.

    • Guide technicians on complex diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance requirements.

    • Supervise, train, and support workshop staff, including mechanics, technicians, service advisors, and apprentices.

    • Conduct regular toolbox talks, safety briefings, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

    • Prepare daily and weekly reports on job completion, downtime, resource utilization, and operational performance.

    • Communicate job status, delays, and workshop challenges to the Service Manager and relevant stakeholders.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Required skills to be successful

    • Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.

    • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in workshop operations, truck maintenance, servicing, or repair.

    • Previous experience supervising technicians, mechanics, service advisors, or apprentices in a busy workshop environment.

    • Strong understanding of preventative maintenance, quality checks, repair processes, and workshop safety standards.

    You will be part of the Service department, working closely with the Service Manager and leading a team of technicians and service advisors. The team operates in a fast-paced workshop environment focused on maintaining and repairing heavy-duty trucks while ensuring quality service, safety, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on leadership role where collaboration with procurement, fleet, and customer service teams is essential to manage urgent breakdowns, parts availability, turnaround time, and continuous improvement across workshop operations.
