Job Purpose: To deliver ICT and Computing instruction with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence literacy, digital skills and computational thinking, preparing students to use technology safely, creatively and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver ICT/Computing lessons covering digital literacy, computational thinking, programming basics and introductory Artificial Intelligence concepts appropriate to each grade level.
Design engaging, hands-on lessons using appropriate software, coding platforms and AI-literacy tools and resources.
Promote responsible, safe and ethical use of technology and AI tools, embedding digital citizenship and online safety education.
Assess student progress in ICT/Computing skills and AI literacy; maintain accurate records and report to parents.
Support integration of ICT and AI tools across the curriculum in collaboration with other subject teachers.
Manage and maintain the ICT lab/classroom, equipment and software, liaising with the IT department on technical needs.
Stay current with developments in educational technology and AI tools relevant to K-12 education.
Support whole-school digital initiatives, competitions (e.g., coding clubs, robotics) and technology showcase events.
Differentiate instruction for varying levels of digital competency among students.
Participate in CPD, department meetings and parent-teacher conferences.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education Technology or a related field.
Minimum 2 years' teaching experience in ICT/Computing; experience teaching or integrating AI concepts is highly desirable.
Valid UAE Teacher's License or eligibility to obtain one.
Familiarity with MOE ICT curriculum standards and current educational AI tools and platforms.
