Overview of the role:

The Sales Engineer is responsible for achieving and exceeding sales targets for commercial vehicles by combining strong technical knowledge with a customer-focused sales approach. This role supports customers by understanding their operational requirements and recommending appropriate commercial vehicle solutions while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and profitable business growth.

 

What you will do:

  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets while maintaining agreed profit margins
  • Conduct regular customer and site visits to understand technical, operational, and commercial requirements
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory
  • Provide technical consultation to customers, recommending suitable commercial vehicle solutions
  • Present and demonstrate vehicles, explaining specifications, performance, applications, warranties, and aftersales support
  • Prepare quotations, technical proposals, and sales orders in line with company policies
  • Secure deposits and ensure accurate completion of sales documentation
  • Maintain accurate Daily Sales Reports (DSR) and provide regular pipeline updates
  • Ensure customer overdue balances remain within agreed targets
  • Attend sales meetings, product training, and technical refresher sessions
  • Maintain strong customer relationships throughout the sales and delivery cycle

  • Strong technical understanding of commercial vehicles or automotive products
  • Ability to translate technical specifications into customer-focused solutions
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong customer relationship management and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based sales role
  • Strong time management, planning, and follow-up skills
  • Comfortable using CRM systems, Excel, and Microsoft Office tools
  • Results-driven mindset in a competitive sales environment

 

About the team:

You will be part of a commercial vehicles sales team that works closely with engineering, aftersales, and operations functions to deliver end-to-end solutions for customers. The team focuses on collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence to ensure customers receive reliable and effective transport solutions.

 

What equips you for the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification (preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial vehicle sales, sales engineering, or technical sales role
  • Experience with trucks, buses, fleet solutions, or automotive equipment
  • Experience within the UAE or GCC market
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Fluent English is required; Arabic is an advantage
  • Valid UAE driving license
