The Senior Site Auditor is responsible for conducting audits on construction sites to ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. This role involves evaluating project execution, identifying non-conformities, and recommending corrective actions to improve performance and ensure adherence to company policies and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities1. Conducting Site Audits & Inspections
- Perform regular and surprise audits at construction sites to assess compliance with quality, health & safety, and environmental standards.
- Verify that construction activities align with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Conduct internal audits for ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) compliance.
- Identify non-conformances, deviations, and potential risks and report findings to management.
2. Quality Assurance & Compliance Monitoring
- Ensure that construction processes follow QA/QC guidelines and best practices.
- Monitor material usage, workmanship quality, and testing procedures.
- Verify proper documentation of material inspection requests (MIR), work inspection requests (WIR), and test reports.
- Recommend corrective actions for any defects, rework, or quality issues.
3. Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Audits
- Conduct HSE compliance audits to ensure adherence to OSHA, NEBOSH, and local regulations.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of risk assessments, method statements, and emergency response plans.
- Monitor the implementation of PPE usage, fire safety measures, scaffolding safety, and hazardous material handling.
- Ensure compliance with waste management, environmental impact control, and pollution prevention measures.
4. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare detailed audit reports, highlighting findings, corrective actions, and recommendations.
- Maintain a database of past audits, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action plans (CAPs).
- Develop and submit monthly audit summary reports to management.
- Ensure proper documentation and tracking of corrective and preventive actions taken after audits.
5. Risk Assessment & Process Improvement
- Identify and assess risks related to project execution, safety, and compliance.
- Recommend improvements in construction methods, safety procedures, and quality control processes.
- Ensure corrective measures are implemented to minimize risks and prevent project delays.
- Conduct root cause analysis for major non-compliance issues and propose long-term solutions.
6. Coordination with Project Teams & Management
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, QA/QC, and HSE teams to implement corrective actions.
- Provide guidance and recommendations on best practices for quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
7. Training & Awareness Programs
- Conduct awareness sessions for engineers, supervisors, and workers on compliance, risk mitigation, and quality control.
- Provide training on internal audit procedures, ISO standards, and construction safety regulations.
- Organize toolbox talks and workshops to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Skills & Competencies Required✔ Strong knowledge of construction auditing, quality control, and HSE standards. ✔ Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OSHA, and NEBOSH. ✔ Expertise in construction methodologies, materials testing, and safety compliance. ✔ Proficiency in audit reporting, risk analysis, and root cause analysis (RCA). ✔ Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. ✔
